01Acceptance, definitions and scope
In short: these Terms apply when an adult creates or manages an account for a child. The parent or legal guardian remains responsible for consent, payments, safe participation and the student’s conduct. TutoriaGlobal manages tutor matching, scheduling, quality and support; it does not guarantee marks, admissions or examination results.
These Terms form a binding agreement between the adult accepting them (“Account Holder”, “Parent”, “Guardian” or “you”) and the legal entity operating TutoriaGlobal.
They apply to account creation, assessments, trial or demonstration classes, paid tutoring sessions, learning materials, messaging, recordings where enabled, and all related online services. They supplement the platform terms and the Privacy Policy. Where there is a direct conflict, the more specific term governing the relevant Service applies, subject to applicable law.
- “Student” means the child or learner receiving the Services.
- “Tutor” means a teacher or academic service provider assigned through TutoriaGlobal.
- “Session” means a scheduled class, assessment, orientation or academic meeting.
02Eligibility, parental authority and consent
The Account Holder must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. By registering a Student, you confirm that you are the Student’s parent, legal guardian, or an adult duly authorised to make educational and data-related decisions for that Student.
You consent to the Student participating in online tutoring and to the collection and use of information reasonably required to provide the Services, subject to the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for obtaining any additional consent required from another parent, guardian, school or authority.
A Student under 18 must not independently accept these Terms or create an unsupervised adult account.
03Account registration and security
- Provide complete, accurate and current information — the Student’s correct name, age, grade, curriculum, country, time zone, subjects, learning needs and parent contact details — and update material changes promptly.
- You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity conducted through your account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred or shared outside the registered household without written approval.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access, impersonation or misuse. We may require identity, age or parental-authority verification where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
04Tutoring services and platform role
TutoriaGlobal provides managed online tutoring, tutor selection and matching, scheduling support, academic assessments and related educational assistance. The precise subjects, curricula, class format, frequency and inclusions are those displayed in the selected package or confirmed in writing.
Tutoring is supplementary educational support. It is not a replacement for school attendance, professional educational diagnosis, psychological or medical care, or specialised services unless expressly stated and delivered by an appropriately qualified professional.
We may deliver Services through employees, independent tutors, academic coordinators and vetted third-party technology providers. Individual Tutors exercise professional judgement in teaching methods and lesson delivery.
05Assessment, tutor matching and learning plans
- We may request an academic consultation, diagnostic assessment, sample work, school information or learning preferences before assigning a Tutor. You confirm that information shared is accurate.
- Matching considers subject knowledge, curriculum familiarity, availability, language, teaching style and the Student’s needs. A preferred Tutor or exact timetable cannot be guaranteed. We may change a Tutor where necessary for quality, availability, safeguarding, operational or compatibility reasons.
- Learning plans and recommendations are educational guidance based on available information and observed participation. They are not guarantees of a specific result.
06Trials and demonstration sessions
New Students are eligible for up to three (3) free demo sessions, intended to evaluate teaching fit and explain the Service. No payment card is required. The Tutor conducting a trial may not be the Tutor assigned afterwards.
- The allowance is three per Student account in total, not three per Tutor.
- A demo that is attended, or missed without cancelling, counts towards the allowance. A cancelled demo does not.
- Trial availability, duration, subjects and promotional conditions may be limited. Misuse of trial offers — for example duplicate accounts — may result in cancellation or account restriction.
07Scheduling, time zones and attendance
- Sessions are scheduled in the time zone shown in the account, booking confirmation or calendar invitation. Please verify the displayed time, including daylight-saving changes. We are not responsible for a missed Session caused by an incorrect time-zone setting selected by the user.
- The Student should join from a safe, quiet and appropriate location with the required device, materials and internet connection, preferably five minutes before the scheduled start. A parent or responsible adult should be reasonably reachable during a minor Student’s Session.
- If the Student joins late, the Session will normally end at the original scheduled time. Repeated lateness may be addressed with the parent or may require a schedule change.
08Cancellations, rescheduling and missed sessions
If you cancel or reschedule
- A Session may be rescheduled without loss when the request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start, subject to Tutor availability and package rules.
- A cancellation made more than 24 hours before the start returns the amount paid to your account as Account Credit.
- A cancellation or reschedule request made less than 24 hours before the start, a failure to attend, or an inability to join caused by the Student’s device or connection, may be treated as a completed Session. Genuine emergencies are reviewed case by case, but a credit is not automatic.
If the Tutor cancels
- If the assigned Tutor cancels or is materially late and the Session cannot reasonably proceed, we will arrange a replacement Session, a substitute Tutor or a service credit. The remedy will ordinarily be limited to the affected Session.
We may revise the notice period or rescheduling limits for special courses, group classes, examination boot camps or promotional packages, provided the applicable rule is disclosed before purchase.
09Packages, validity and transfers
- Each package includes the number and type of Sessions, validity period, subjects and benefits displayed at purchase. Unused Sessions must be taken within the stated validity period and may expire if not used.
- Packages and credits are intended for the registered Student and are not transferable to another person, subject or household without written approval.
- Extensions, freezes or transfers are discretionary unless required by law or expressly included in the package.
10Fees, billing, taxes and foreign currency
- Fees are payable in advance unless an authorised instalment plan applies. Access to paid Sessions may be paused where payment is overdue, reversed, disputed or unsuccessful.
- Prices may be displayed in INR, AED, USD or another supported currency. Amounts shown in other currencies are indicative conversions — payment is taken in USD or INR. Your payment provider or bank may apply exchange rates, international transaction fees or charges outside our control.
- Invoices and receipts are issued in the form required by applicable law. You are responsible for any taxes or charges imposed on the customer unless the price expressly states they are included.
11Refunds and service credits
- A refund request may be considered within seven days of purchase where no class has been attended.
- Completed Sessions are non-refundable. Unused prepaid Sessions may be reviewed case by case.
- Approved refunds are generally processed within seven to ten business days after applicable deductions. A bank or card issuer may require additional time to reflect it.
- Promotional credits, complimentary Sessions and referral benefits have no cash value unless stated otherwise.
Refunds are normally issued as Account Credit rather than to the original payment method. Nothing in these Terms excludes a refund, remedy or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded — contact admin@tutoriaglobal.com and we will honour it.
12Tutor replacement and service continuity
We may replace a Tutor because of availability, performance, illness, safeguarding, conflict, resignation, technical issues or operational requirements, and will use reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and transfer relevant academic notes.
A parent may request a Tutor change through support. We will review the reasons and may observe Sessions, seek feedback or arrange an alternative where reasonably available. A particular Tutor, accent, nationality, gender or personal characteristic cannot be guaranteed, and discriminatory requests may be refused.
13Parent and student responsibilities
- Attend Sessions on time and participate respectfully.
- Provide an age-appropriate learning environment, working equipment and required books or materials.
- Share accurate academic information and disclose relevant learning accommodations, without asking Tutors to diagnose a condition.
- Complete agreed practice work honestly and submit it through approved channels.
- Treat Tutors, staff and other learners with dignity, and without harassment, threats, discrimination or abusive language.
- Inform us promptly about scheduling, quality, safety, payment or technical concerns.
14Child safeguarding and professional boundaries
We expect all interactions with minors to remain strictly educational, age-appropriate and professional. Parents and Students must not encourage or participate in conduct that bypasses these safeguards:
- Do not ask a Tutor to meet a minor Student physically, provide transport, enter the Student’s home, exchange gifts of material value, or communicate secretly.
- Do not exchange personal social-media accounts, private photographs, home addresses or identity documents with a Tutor.
- Where messaging with a minor is required, use the Platform or an approved channel that includes the parent, guardian or an authorised representative.
- Immediately report sexualised, threatening, humiliating, manipulative or discriminatory conduct, or any request for secrecy.
- Do not ask a Tutor for medical, psychological, immigration, financial or legal advice outside the agreed educational Service.
Report any safeguarding concern immediately to admin@tutoriaglobal.com. Preserve relevant messages or evidence, and do not confront or privately investigate the Tutor.
15Communications with students and parents
- We may contact the Account Holder by email, phone, dashboard notification, SMS, WhatsApp or another approved channel for account administration, scheduling, class links, payment, academic updates, safety and support.
- Operational communications necessary to provide a purchased Service are not marketing messages. Promotional communications are based on separate consent, and you may opt out at any time.
- A Tutor must not negotiate fees, sell unrelated services, request direct payment or move the relationship to an unapproved private channel. Please forward any such request to us.
16Session recording, screenshots and monitoring
- Where enabled, Sessions may be recorded or observed for safety, quality assurance, tutor coaching, dispute review and service improvement. We provide notice and obtain consent where required by law. Access is restricted and recordings are retained only for an appropriate period.
- Parents, Students and Tutors must not record, livestream, photograph, screen-capture, publish or share any Session, participant or learning material without prior written permission and all legally required participant consents.
- The absence of a recording or live observer does not reduce anyone’s obligation to follow these Terms and the safeguarding rules.
17Privacy, child data and consent
The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why it is used, who may receive it, how long it may be retained, and how a parent may request access, correction, erasure or withdrawal of consent.
By registering a minor Student, you authorise us to process information reasonably necessary for account management, tutor matching, class delivery, attendance, support, payments, fraud prevention, safety and legal compliance.
We may use service providers located in India, the UAE or other countries for hosting, communications, video classes and payments, subject to appropriate contractual and security measures. Marketing, testimonials, public images and recordings use separate, specific consent.
If required consent is withdrawn, some Services may no longer be technically or legally possible. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully undertaken.
18Academic integrity and responsible use of AI
- Students must submit their own work and comply with school or examination rules. Tutors may explain concepts and guide improvement but must not complete assessed schoolwork, impersonate a Student, take an examination, or facilitate plagiarism.
- AI tools may be used only in a manner permitted by the Student’s school, the relevant assessment rules and our instructions. A Student must not use AI to misrepresent authorship or generate prohibited examination answers.
- Do not upload confidential school materials, another person’s personal data, or a Tutor’s image or voice into a third-party AI tool without permission. Important academic and safeguarding decisions remain subject to human review.
19Technology and third-party services
Online tutoring depends on devices, electricity, internet connectivity, video-conferencing tools and payment providers. You must maintain compatible equipment, reasonable security and a private meeting location. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for an independent third party’s outage, bank decline, device defect or user-side connection failure, but will use reasonable efforts to support continuity and rescheduling where appropriate.
20Intellectual property and permitted use
- The Platform, branding, course structures, assessments, reports, templates, recordings and content created or commissioned by TutoriaGlobal remain owned or licensed by us.
- Upon payment, the Student receives a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use supplied learning materials for private educational purposes. Materials may not be copied for commercial use, resold, uploaded publicly, used to train an AI model, or distributed outside the registered household.
- The Student retains ownership of original work they submit. You grant us a limited licence to store, review, annotate and share that work with assigned personnel solely to provide and improve the Services, comply with law and resolve disputes.
21Prohibited conduct
- Impersonating another person, creating false accounts, or providing false identity, age or payment information.
- Harassing, threatening, discriminating against or exploiting a Tutor, staff member or learner.
- Attempting to hack, scrape, reverse engineer, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Platform.
- Sharing malware, unlawful content, sexual content involving minors, or material that violates privacy or intellectual-property rights.
- Recording or distributing Sessions without permission, sharing login credentials, or reselling access.
- Using the Services for cheating, examination impersonation, credential fraud or any unlawful purpose.
22Direct engagement with tutors and payments outside the Platform
TutoriaGlobal invests in tutor screening, matching, scheduling, quality control, payment administration, safeguarding and support. Parents and Students must not make direct payments to, privately book, employ or solicit an assigned or introduced Tutor outside the Platform during the active engagement.
For 12 months after the last introduction or Session, any request to engage that Tutor directly should be submitted to us. To the extent permitted by law, an approved transfer fee may apply where disclosed in writing. This clause protects a genuine business relationship and does not restrict rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
Please report any request for cash, personal bank transfer, cryptocurrency, gift card or payment to an account not officially designated by TutoriaGlobal.
23Testimonials, student work and publicity
We will not intentionally use a minor Student’s identifiable image, voice, full name, school, testimonial or work in public marketing without separate and specific permission from the parent or legal guardian and, where appropriate, the Student. Consent for publicity is voluntary and may be withdrawn for future use; reasonable removal requests for digital content will be considered.
24Complaints, safeguarding reports and grievance handling
Report concerns promptly with the Student’s registered details, Session date, Tutor name and a clear description.
We may temporarily pause a Tutor, restrict communication, review recordings and attendance logs, interview relevant adults, or take other proportionate measures while a complaint is reviewed. Confidentiality is respected, but information may be disclosed where required for safety, law enforcement, insurance or legal advice.
We aim to acknowledge a formal grievance within 48 hours and to resolve it within 30 days where reasonably possible. Complex safeguarding, payment or third-party investigations may take longer, in which case we will provide updates.
25Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time, subject to payment obligations, package validity and the cancellation rules above.
- We may suspend a Session or account, refuse a booking, remove content or terminate access where there is non-payment, fraud, abuse, repeated disruption, safeguarding risk, unlawful conduct, misuse of materials, direct payment to a Tutor, or serious breach of these Terms.
- Where appropriate we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct a breach. Immediate action may be taken where needed to protect a child, Tutor, staff member, system or investigation.
26Service changes, force majeure and no guaranteed outcomes
We may change features, teaching tools, Tutor allocation, schedules or operational processes to improve safety, quality, compliance or efficiency. Material changes to a purchased package will be communicated and an appropriate substitute, credit or remedy considered where required.
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe internet or power failure, natural disaster, public emergency, war, civil disturbance, government action, a platform-wide outage or epidemic.
No guaranteed outcomes. Academic improvement depends on attendance, effort, prior knowledge, school instruction, assessment rules, wellbeing and other factors outside our control. We do not guarantee marks, grades, rank, admission, scholarship or examination success. Tutor opinions and study recommendations are educational guidance — not official school, examination-board, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
27Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TutoriaGlobal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss of data caused by the user, or school or examination decisions.
For a claim directly arising from an affected paid Service, our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid for that affected package, or the amount required by applicable law, whichever is greater.
You are responsible for losses reasonably caused by your unlawful conduct, deliberate misuse of the Platform, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these Terms — only to the extent permitted by law, and never for our own negligence or breach.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
28Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, safety, operational or service reasons. The updated version and effective date will be displayed on this page. For material changes affecting an active paid package, reasonable notice will be provided where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; you may stop future use if you do not agree, subject to accrued obligations and mandatory rights.
29Governing law and general provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting mandatory rights that may apply to a consumer in the country where the Services are received. The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute through support or grievance handling.
- If any provision is held invalid, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder continues.
- A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- You may not assign your rights without written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a lawful restructuring, merger or sale, subject to applicable privacy and consumer law.
- These Terms, together with incorporated policies, constitute the agreement concerning the Services. Electronic records and acceptance may be used as evidence to the extent permitted by law.
